To Decay welcomes our new Temporary Occupant — photographer and writer Lars Niclas Fasth, based just outside Norrköping. Originally a retoucher, now a photographer, he’s been working with imagery in one form or another since 2006. By his own admission: “kind of cute.”
Fasth’s practice moves effortlessly between portraiture and documentary work, grounded in a literary gaze that reflects both empathy and precision. With a background in Literature and Media Studies, he approaches photography like a quiet conversation — observing, never intruding, always curious.
His work captures the in-between moments — the slight hesitation before a gesture, the breath between words — fragments of stillness that feel hauntingly alive. For two months, his lens and words will inhabit To Decay, blurring the line between image and story.
